Seawell's Banquet and Reception Center - Columbia, SC

Seawell's is a family owned and operated catering business that has been in existence in Columbia since 1946. Once a well known restaurant, now Seawell's provides catering for private events such as office parties, cocktail receptions, weddings, trade shows, business seminars and banquets of all types. Seawell's not only offers its services in their own 30,000 square foot facility located at 1125 Rosewood Drive, but at off-site locations as well.

Seawell's Banquet and Reception Center first opened its doors in January of 1999. Since opening its doors, Seawell's has averaged over 700 events a year at its new location. The banquet hall is approximately 15,000 square feet and can seat up to 1,000 people. The banquet hall can also be divided into six different rooms that allows us to host a number of events at the same time.

Seawell's has not only been a favorite of the Columbia area since its opening, but has also played host to many important visitors to our city. In early 2000, Seawell's hosted the Republican Presidential Debate which was viewed world-wide on Larry King Live on the CNN cable network. Seawell's has also had the honor of catering events that have been attended by the last seven Presidents of the United States.

Seawell's is centrally located just 2 miles from downtown Columbia, within a 10 to 15 minute drive of I-20, I-26 and I-77. The main parking lot has parking for over 260 vehicles with additional parking for over 300 more vehicles in fenced-in lots located on both sides of the main lot.

Millstone At Adams Pond

The Millstone at Adams Pond is an absolutely phenomenal wedding location.

It is located not far from downtown Columbia off of Bluff Road. As soon as you turn into the entrance though the transformation from busy city life to quiet, mystical wonderland quickly takes place.

The entrance itself is something worthy of mentioning. The small road is lined with large trees that steer you through the forest towards a view of the pond. By the time you reach the house (about a ¼ of a mile) you will know that you are no longer in the city.

The house is beautiful and surrounded by magnificent wrought iron fences, and a nice wood deck that overlooks the cascading waterfall. The pond which is located a stones throw from the front of the house is a good size and makes for some great backdrops. Around the pond, even though large, it is heavily wooded and in no way hints that you are remotely close to the city.

Behind the house there is large grassy area that the creek runs adjacent too. This is an awesome place to have a wedding. Also there is a Pecan Orchard located to the left of the house that is a great place to host a wedding.

The house itself is magnificent on the inside. There are two medium to large-sized rooms and a host of other smaller rooms and bathrooms which are all decorated nicely.

The Mitchell House and Gardens is a beautifully restored historic home located in the heart of Lexington, South Carolina. Built in 1924 as a private residence for the Mitchell Family, the house was purchased in 1992 by Phyllis James and opened as the first full-service special events location in the Columbia/Lexington area.

About Our House

The two-story home is gracious and warm, featuring large, open rooms with 12-foot ceilings. On the main level there is a reception room spanning the full width of the house with fireplaces at each end. This stately appointed room opens to a beautiful descending staircase framed by Grecian columns. The house also has two dining rooms, a sunroom, and two restrooms on the main level. A back reception room spanning the width of the house with French doors leads to the garden.

The back reception holds the hand-carved mahogany bar that was moved to our house from a Charleston hotel. This room also spans the width of the house and leads to the garden through our French doors.

The large, open rooms ensure easy accessibility for your guests in and out of the house and gardens.

So that your party may extend outdoors, there is a covered 1,050 square foot wrap-around patio; and a covered walkway leading to a stunning covered Garden Pavilion, which accommodates up to 300 guests. So...“If it rains, we’ve got you covered!”

The Boardroom is a separate private area for more intimate gatherings. It measures 15' by 45', or 675 sf.

The Lace House - Columbia, SC

piazzas and the intricate interior molding, the Lace House has

Built in 1855 by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Robertson, it became the
Mansion's official guest house in the 1960s. The upstairs Bride's

Wedding ReceptionsFor Member wedding receptions:

* No room rental.
* Linens, China, glass and silver are all included.
* Cake cutting service is included.
* Private rooms for Bride & Groom and Band are included.

For sponsored wedding receptions:

* Contact Stephanie Bledsoe, Catering Director for room rental prices.
* Sponsored Guests are required to pay the full balance of the event upon departure.

For all wedding receptions:

* Member/Host is responsible for providing own entertainment, wedding cake, flower arrangements and favors.
* Mirror Tiles and Votive candles may be rented from the Club for use as centerpieces.
* The Summit Club staff will setup and breakdown the event at no extra charge.
* A variety of packages and menus are available to suit a range of events and budgets. Clarification regarding policies, available dates, or any other questions or concerns is readily available upon request.

Capacity
